Bryn Mawr Trust: FoA’s bank with a neighborhood branch right on the corner of 2nd and Girard made a $1,000 donation to the Annual Fund! The donation not only brought us past the 80% mark of our 2018 goal, but also helped FoA grow the annual Trunk or Treat into a full Fall Festival! BMT has agreed to serve as an honorary sponsor of the 2018 Fall Festival--check out their table at this year’s festival on October 27, 2018 to learn more about BMT and the services it can provide to community members.
Comcast: Philadelphia's telecom giant selected Adaire as a site for its huge 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 Comcast Cares Days of service, organizing and funding a massive painting, cleaning, and planting day of volunteer work.
The Dominic Fuscia Team: This Philly realtor team has been a long supporter of FoA and Fishtown's resurgent public schools. Dominic Fuscia also makes a donation to FoA every time they make a sale that was referred by an Adaire community member--just mention you are referring on behalf of Adaire! Thank you Dominic Fuscia and team for your support of FoA and Philadelphia public schools--you understand that thriving schools = thriving communities! FoA also thanks the DFT team for their $500 donation to FoA following a recent Fishtown sale referred by an Adaire family!!
Tufas Boulder Lounge: This new rock climbing gym is only a mile from Adaire and offers a variety of kids climbing programs on weekends, summer, and after-school--Tufas is also a generous supporter of FoA and made a $500 donation to our 2018-2019 Annual Fund Campaign! Thank you Tufas for partnering with FoA!
Frankford Hall: The landmark Stephen Starr beer garden and gastropub hosted our first happy hour fundraiser in Adaire's catchment area and has hosted us on numerous occasions since. Most recently, designating Adaire's music program as the beneficiary of its live band karaoke night and raising over $600! Thank you Frankford Hall!
Pixel Parlor: This Fishtown-based graphic design studio with experience in both print and web design has adopted Adaire, designing -- and doing -- incredible redesigns of the first-floor hallway, library entrance, teachers lounge, and lobby!
Jerry's Bar: The acclaimed corner-bar-turned-gastropub in Northern Liberties hosted Friends of Adaire's first-ever solo happy hour fundraiser.
Barefoot Doctor Community Acupuncture Clinic: This community-style clinic in Fishtown, which works to make acupuncture and natural health care available to most people, has provided free acupuncture to Adaire teachers on Teacher Appreciation Day.
Fishtown Playschool: This cooperative preschool program for children ages 2.5–5 loaned us the Imagination Playground blocks they won in an online vote contest for our Comcast Cares Day effort, letting young kids play while parents worked.
Fette Sau: This Fishtown restaurant has kindly hosted our happy hour fundraisers. Thank you!
Murph's Bar: Fishtown's "comfortable place to be" is a neighborhood Irish bar on Girard that hosted a Happy Hour fundraiser.
Steap and Grind: The Fishtown coffee and tea emporium at 1619 Frankford Ave. (at Columbia) hosted the first-ever First Friday Student Art Show!
Cedar Point: This bar and restaurant, featuring a spacious outdoor deck right on the Forks in Fishtown, hosted one of our Happy Hour fundraisers!
Ian Smith Design Group LLC: Adaire neighbor and architect Ian Smith is volunteering to lead our Schoolyard Transformation project, providing pro bono design and facilitation work.
Fishtown Neighbors Association: FNA serves families and neighbors by promoting community activities, civic involvement, education, and safety and by fostering the smart growth of our unique and diverse riverfront neighborhood. FNA generously donated the proceeds of their 2014 Chili Cookoff to the Adaire Technology Lab.
Friends of H.A. Brown: The Friends of Henry A. Brown work to ensure the best educational opportunities are available to current and future students of H.A. Brown. They are our allies in the 19125 Parents Coalition.
Friends of Hackett: The Friends of Horatio B. Hackett Elementary School provide support to all current and future Hackett students, teachers, staff, and parents. They are our allies in the 19125 Parents Coalition.
Threshold Wellness: Threshold Wellness is a wellness collective offering a variety of services including massage therapy, Reiki, art therapy, acupuncture, somatic visioning, special workshops and classes. Threshold provided free massages and Reiki for Adaire teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Circle of Hope/Circle Thrift: Circle Thrift is part of the Circle of Hope church in Philadelphia, which reserves 5% of its profits for compassionate neighbors and neighborhood projects. Circle provided Friends of Adaire with its very first grant.
By My Side: This non-profit parenting program, focused on providing quality programming and resources for children & those who care for them, has provided encouragement and child-friendly meeting space at Atonement Lutheran Church.
Public Citizens for Children and Youth: PCCY works to help improve the lives of children by advocating on their behalf and being a catalyst for positive change. PCCY Executive Director and Fishtown resident Donna Cooper helped guide the Friends of Adaire's initial advocacy for more funding for public schools.
Revolution House: This Old City restaurant/bar at 2nd Street and Market graciously hosted the very first joint fundraiser for the 19125 Parents Coalition on Aug. 20, 2014. The event was sold-out.
Lloyd Whiskey Bar: This Fishtown whiskey and cocktail bar & restaurant has kindly hosted our happy hour fundraisers. We appreciate the support!
The Home Depot: The home improvement and construction superstore donated plants and grasses Friends of Adaire planted around the bases of the trees along Thompson Street as part of Adaire Cares Day, Oct. 25, 2014.
Front Street Cafe: This Fishtown restaurant has generously hosted our happy hour fundraisers in their beautiful upstairs space. Many thanks!
The Abbaye: This Northern Liberties restaurant supported Adaire by offering a great gift package that was raffled off at the 8/20/14 fundraiser benefiting the 19125 Parents Coalition.
