The Friends of Adaire STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Fund was founded and is managed by two board members who work in science, Edyta Zielinska and Stefan Zajic.  The goal of the Fund is to support and enhance the STEM curriculum at Alexander Adaire School. After speaking with teachers at Adaire, it became clear that there is a need to raise funds for materials to be used with hands-on activities and classroom demonstrations.  The FoA STEM Fund aims to meet those immediate short term needs, while also planning for future larger projects, materials and equipment.

The FoA STEM Fund was established with a personal donation from Edyta and Stefan, along with a matching gift from the Merck Foundation. The Fund is seeking additional personal and corporate donations to help meet day-to-day needs now and build long term strength in the STEM curriculum at Adaire. From 2016-2017, we raised over $12,000 for STEM education at Adaire!  We always welcome more support for our STEM Fund--to donate specifically to the STEM fund, just add "STEM" to the 'special instructions to seller' in PayPal.
