Help Us Fill the Adaire Science ​Lab!

Friends of Adaire are filling the beaker!

This year, we encourage you to support Friends of Adaire in our efforts to raise $15,000 for Adaire's new science lab. You can give here via the PayPal button above or email us at [email protected] if you want to pay by check or in person! 

Principal Jenkins opened the new K-8 lab to create an engaging and hands-on learning space for ALL students and teachers, but we want to fill it with microscopes, and much more! The science teachers created a detailed budget and itemized list, and your generous tax-deductible donation will enable us to directly purchase these items and build a vibrant space for learning. STEM is the word at Adaire!  Our "beaker" is filling up!  We will have microscopes and slides to take Adaire biology studies into the tiny world around us, materials to engineer circuits and such plus containers to store, manage and keep track of it all.  These are a sample of the things our shopping list is focusing on.  The Adaire Science Leaders -- Mr. McGeehan, Ms. Boyle, and Ms. Choi -- are all working with the FoA STEM Fund team to match our purchases to an exciting new-to-Adaire STEM focused curriculum.  Thanks to all that have donated so far.  We are in the home stretch and looking to meet our $15,000 goal on or before August 1st. 

Over the past year, we've raised $28,000 to revamp the school's auditorium, finalized plans for Phase I of Adaire's new schoolyard, organized Comcast Cares Day, launched a chess club, and facilitated a partnership with the Rock School of Dance to bring weekly classes to Adaire, and much more! It’s been a busy year, and we are thankful to have so many supporters. We love what we do, and financial support like yours is what makes all of our work possible. ​
