Bicycling to and at Adaire
Friends of Adaire supports bicycling at and to Adaire. FoA Partnerships Coordinator Sasha Best leads these efforts, which helped Principal Anna Jenkins bring a bike rack to the schoolyard and led to Adaire's participation in the annual Bike to School Day, and a Learn to Ride workshop in the Adaire schoolyard. Sasha works closely with the Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia to promote bicycling as a healthy way to get kids exercise.
Learn2Ride a Bike at Adaire!
Adaire was the site of a Learn2Ride a Bike workshop on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 afterschool at 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Kids needed a helmet, a bike (some shared bikes were available to ride), safe/comfortable shoes, and a signed waiver to participate.
